Literature Text

Stuck between life and death, in the place where the souls of witches go when they leave their bodies, the Sanderson sisters groan, hefting themselves from the hard ground as a thick fog rolls in; Winifred, still snuffling over the loss of her youth, growls when the petite blonde thrusts a large black widow in her face through the damp veil surrounding them, an off-kilter grin splitting her aged face.

"What," she sneers as Mary fights to hold back panicked giggles, "am I supposed to do with--" but she is cut short when Sarah stuffs the spider, whole and still scrambling, between her lips; long, coarse hairs stick to her tongue as the arachnid squirms, tickling the roof of her mouth in a fight for freedom.

"Sisters," she chokes, picking the widow's legs from her teeth with clawed fingers (having swallowed the offering with a shudder), "what I wouldn't give to drown the both of you!"

No prompts given today.

Challenge--

As befits the third week of such a third-class writing event, there are THREE elements to today's challenge for triple the fun.  That's right, 3 for the price of 1!
  • Element ONE: Your story must consist of three sentences.  No more, no less.  It can be any length, 55-1000 words, but it can only have 3 sentences.  Polish up those semi-colons, kids.
  • Element TWO: Your story must feature something usually found in threes.
  • Element THREE: Post a three word summary of your story with the link below.
OBVIOUSLY this is a tribute to the Sanderson sisters from, YOU GUESSED IT, Hocus Pocus!  PLEASE remember: The Sanderson Sisters belong solely to Walt Disney; I am in no way claiming them as my own.

Word Count--156
