"Guilty until proven innocent" was one of those phrases Stiles had always loathed--not because it wasn't true, but because he'd spent his life believing suitcases couldn't--and would never--talk.

Thinking back on the last 24 hours, Stiles wasn't sure where insanity and reality first collided.  Maybe it was at the bus depot, when he'd discovered--to his dismay, as he was running an hour late for a meeting with a soon-to-be ex-wife and their lawyers--that his bus pass had expired.  Three years ago.  Or maybe it was at work, when the entire floor had been "let go" because the Big Boss didn't like the look of their janitor.

Or maybe, he mused, it had always been this way, and Stiles had never noticed before because... Well, because he'd at least always managed to draw the right cards.

But his luck had run out.  Stiles sighed, glancing at the handcuffs linking him to the very hard metal chair he'd been pushed into hours ago.

Who knew it was a crime to kick a damn suitcase, anyway?

Unusually curious. Curiously unusual. Definitely leaves me wanting more...
