My dear, lucky discoverer:

If you have stumbled unknowingly
upon his bruised and battered heart,
then you have found yourself a Heaven
that even angels would kill to fly into.

He will, if you so choose to let him,
sweep you off your steady feet
and into arms strong of caring
and tender with love.

He shall raise you to the tenth power of laughs,
keeping your face alight with
a smile a minute
and your veins swimming in
blood cells that are drowning in joy.

He will do whatever he can
to chase your sadness away
and fill your skies with brilliant sunshine
and golden rays of happy bliss.

True to his word,
he will attempt to hold you forever,
fearing the loss of your company
above and beyond all other things.

He will not hurt you purposefully,
because to bring pain to one he cherishes so dearly
would be equivalent of killing his own soul.

Never would he leave you behind
to choke on dusty memories or particles of tears.

Nor would he ever
take you for granted,
even if it takes him decades
to prove to you he cares
and that he's only afraid of getting too close.

He may be scared;
he may feel he's gotten too attached
and try to take himself from the equation
before too much damage can be
wreaked upon his sensitive emotions.

If you let him,
he will distance himself so greatly
from your kindly outstretched hand
that you will never be able to win him back.

However,
should you find that you wish it
and should you have courage to risk it,
dig your claws beneath his skin
and hold on for dear life.

To be with him is like having
a thousand heating pads
wrapped tightly about
the heart in your chest.

It is Heaven on Earth,
and should you never take that for granted,
it will last for as long
as he can possibly make it.

He's not one to bicker;
instead, he uses beautiful words
to make a pulse-rate run rampid
and a girl swoon on her feet.

If you have found him,
be sure to hold him close
and never, EVER,
release your grip upon his hand.

His fingers will be your lifeline;
to lose sight of this
would be to lose sight of him,
and to lose sight of him
would kill you.

If you have found him
and he has chosen to make you his,
shield his heart from the ravages of the world
and make him the happiest
he's ever been in his life.

DO NOT let him go...
he needs your hands to envelope
his already shattered heart
in their warmth of protection
and hold him there for eternity,
because that is all he's ever wished for.

If you have found this heart,
you have found a Heaven
that even angels would kill
to fly into.

Don't let this moment pass you by.

Protect him...
it will save you a heartache in the end.

Forever yours,
The girl who once held his heart...and lost it.
This is an OOOOOOOOOOOLD poem that I seem to have neglected putting up here.

So here it be!

This is so amazing. It's beautiful.
And of course, there was someone on my mind when I read it...
